Between 430,000 and 530,000 US children are in foster care. When these children transfer from one home to another, their clothes are packed into garbage bags. Nine years ago, a 7-year-old girl decided to make a difference for these children without a permanent home. She began collecting stuffed animals and duffel bags for foster care distribution. To date, over 60,000 foster children have benefited from one teenager’s goal to make a difference. Her efforts are now under the auspices of Children to Children.
