Egypt's Animal Welfare Rescue Abandoned Pets

Unwitting losers to Egypt’s revolution are domestic animals.  Horses, cats and dogs, to mention the most popular, have been abandoned or lost in the shuffle of people leaving the country, or  neglected because of the lack of tourists. The Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals  (ESMA) fights the tide and tries to rescue abandoned and starving animals The charitable group’s Facebook page posts photo after photo of rescued animals ready for adoption.  Recently, the International Fund for Animal Welfare issued a grant  to ESMA to help with the cost of the national emergency.
