Gettin' Bald With It & Fighting Childhood Cancer
Bald is beautiful at any St. Baldrick’s Foundation event. And for the ones who shave their head-fur off during a St. Baldrick’s event, they join the fight against childhood cancer by raising funds. “Shavees” seek donors, much like a marathon,.
At a recent event in Annapolis, a volunteer “shavee” dressed in a superhero costume in recognition of a 4-year-oldin battle with cancer who wears his superhero outfit during his chemo, radiation and physical therapy.The simpatico adult "shavee” raised $2500 and earned a shiny new look.
