Land Trust Volunteers Provide Stewardship

As more small working farms that decorated country lanes disappear into multinational corporate run mega-farms, communities concerned with such a blight have formed land conservancies and trusts, like the Peconic Land Trust formed to protect more than 10,000 acres. Within the trust working farms, natural habitat and historic sites are preserved for future generations.
Volunteers work to raise funds to maintain the trust and provide stewardship.
