Pooch Rescue During A Disaster

Bonnie's First Flight
Four-legged buddies can be left behind during a disaster.  During the swath of tornadoes this Spring, many nonprofit groups organized dog rescues.  Pilots and Paws joined in the rescue project.

In the story "Bonnie Takes the Last Plane to Clarksville," Bonnie, a Boston Terrier, needed a home.  But the rescue, now compounded with flooding, grew complicated. Volunteers drove Bonnie to an airfield where a volunteer pilot with Pilots and Paws, flew in to pick up Bonnie to her new home in Clarksville.

Bonnie's pilot, "... flies all over the country helping rescue dogs in need," notes the linked story.
