South African Values Campaign

"The National Values Campaign will give South Africans a chance to vote on their desired values for South Africa in order to identify the common values that they share and ultimately make the country a better place to live in," spokesman Adriaan Groenewald said.

The common values would be determined by an online survey in which all South Africans would choose from values such as economic growth, caring for future generations, integrity, job security, environmental awareness and affordable housing.

He said in a statement the survey could be accessed on and was currently available in five languages --English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Setswana and Xhosa.
