Teen Raises Funds For Coats for Kids in Need

 From Points of Light Institute:
For Make A Difference Day 2010, 14-year-old budding philanthropist Nicholas Cobb upped his annual fundraising goal by $1,100. Though his mom was skeptical, Nicholas didn't waver.

He set to work soliciting donations so he could buy new coats for everyone at a shelter for abused children in his Allen, Texas community.

Not only did Nicholas meet his fundraising goal, he and 20 helpers bought 54 coats for children in need.
