Animal Relief & Awakening Human Compassion

"Animal Aid’s purpose is to both bring relief to suffering animals, and to awaken compassion among people. Showing everyone a path for action is where we begin," explains the website devoted to caring for street animals in India.

Vegetarian Times reports that 37,000 street animals have been rescued, provided shelter and given medical care at the group's animal hospital in Badi, Udaipur.  Volunteers "walk dogs, groom donkeys, and bottle-feed baby goats and cows," says the magazine.

About 200 animals are treated daily.
