A Citizen's Mobile App in Philadelphia

Code for America inspired a new app that eases citizen engagement, called Textizen.  The mobile app

In other words, " What if you didn’t have to trek a town hall or city council meeting be heard? could open its ears nearly the entire city? textizen asks questions on posters in public places, then collects citizen feedback via text message. anyone with minute and an opinion can reply. textizen’s cloud-based platform allows officials community groups create surveys track as it comes in. not only garner more representative from larger cross-section of their communities, but for data-driven decisions empowered residents," explains the Code for America website.
